Charity Shops ....

You can support Saint Catherine's Hospice by donating goods to any of our charity shops, or by shopping there! All open 10am - 4pm, Monday to Saturday.

A total of eleven Saint Catherine’s Hospice Shops cover our region from the North East Coast through into Ryedale, providing an unrivalled service to an area of over 1600 square miles. Nine of our eleven shops concentrate on selling top quality donated items, such as clothes, bric-a-brac and books, whilst our shops in North Marine Road, Scarborough & Wheelgate, Malton specialises in furniture.

All our shops are staffed by volunteers who, apart from their loyalty to the Hospice, provide a highly experienced and friendly service to our customers. Their expertise and selfless dedication make a crucial contribution in helping to provide much-needed funds for Patient Care at the Hospice.

If you think you might have items that you would like to donate to the Hospice then please either drop them into your local shop, or, if you have items of furniture you wish to donate then please ring 01723 501601 to arrange a collection.

The Saint Catherine’s Hospice Shops are responsible for raising some £350,000 every year going directly in to Patient Care. This is over 20% of the entire Hospice income. Our shops are not, however, only there to sell – they also provide a public window to the work of the Hospice and advertise all the current information for forthcoming events and occasions.

If you have ever considered becoming a Saint Catherine’s Hospice Shop Volunteer then our shop managers would be extremely keen to hear from you. You would quickly become part of a warm and friendly team – and be assured of an interesting, busy and yet very rewarding, time working with us.
